Tambaoga has been appointed to provide specialist engineering consultancy services for a 30MW / 60MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project currently in the pre-development phase in Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The standalone BESS facility is being developed to strengthen grid reliability, improve network flexibility, and support the integration of renewable energy into South Africa's electricity system. Once operational, the project will provide 30MW of power capacity with 60MWh of energy storage, enabling up to two hours of continuous energy dispatch while supporting grid stability and energy security.

As the engineering consultant, Tambaoga is providing technical expertise throughout the early stages of the project, including development strategy, technical feasibility assessments, grid connection support, project planning, engineering advisory, and the preparation of technical documentation required to advance the project through the development lifecycle.
